Principal Message from Mr. Young

Summer is certainly a time to celebrate another outstanding school year.  The class of 2025 is a special one to BCHS!  Experience your education has been a philosophy of mine for a long time now.  The class of 2025 allowed us to see this philosophy in action.  With enormous amounts of miles traveled across our nation and even throughout Europe, competitions conquered, communities served, and setbacks overcome, the class of 2025 has had the best chence for a well-rounded education that I have ever witnessed.

Transition readiness is a status given by the Kentucky Department of Education for students who are career ready through industry certifications and end or course testing, or college ready through the ACT, dual credit courses, or other means.  The Butler County High School class of 2025 has 146 of 161 students who are postsecondary ready by becoming college and/or career ready.  These totals give BCHS a total of 90% college/career readiness, with most students not reaching readiness due to having transfered to BCHS later in the year.  The class of 2025 has also been offered $4,518,976 in scholarship money.  Overall, the class of 2025 is special, and we cannot wait to see them build a better Butler County, a better state of Kentucky, and a better world.  Thank you and congratulations to our outgoing seniors!
